WORK IMMERSION BLOG
Kristine Bea Wong is my name. I am 18 years old. I am a Grade 12 student, taking the Academic track of Humanities and Social Sciences. I am proud to be a women physically but man by heart. I wanted to become a Lawyer in the near future.
The purpose of this blog is for me to share the experiences I had during our Work Immersion.
DAY 1
We had our work immersion at the Our Lady of Fatima Academy of Davao Inc. (OLFAI) Guidance office. When I first enter the office, I notice the cold and refreshing breeze of the aircon. The scent of the office was somehow sweet and very pleasant in the nose. It was very quiet too.
We were told that we had a school campaign,Ma’am Jenny and Ma’am Glinda will be accomodating us. Also Kuya Julius, since we will be using the van of S. Precy for our transportation in going there.
We went to Langub Elementary school and in the afternoon at R.C Quimpo Elementary school.
DAY 2
I arrived early today. In the morning we were tasked to check the exam that were taken by the students from the school in which we had our school campaign. We stayed at the room in the Coordinator’s office,but just after minutes since we started we were asked to move out because there will be visitors coming. So,we stayed at the Guidance office.
After hours had passed, Ma’am Ivy gave us another task and that is to cut plenty of papers for the school campaign and evaluation forms.
DAY 3
This day we went to different classrooms the evaluation. I observed that their classrooms were very messy and very noisy.
In the afternoon we tally the evaluation we conducted.
DAY 4
Today,we continued tallying the evaluation we had yesterday. We stayed most of the day at the Guidance office. The office was so cold and very quiet. This day we also continue distributing evaluation forms.
DAY 5
Ma’am Ivy asked us to conduct once again another survey. Also, we calculated the results that we conducted during school campaigns.
DAY 6
It is Monday again, I arrived early today. It was 8 o’clock already before we knew that Ma’am Ivy was not present. Mary Eleah my colleague was the one who asked Ma’am Louise, then she said to us that Ma’am Ivy was absent. She also initiated to asked Ma’am Louise on what we will do. So, as Ma’am Louise said to her we will just wait for Ma’am Jella to arrived. We stayed outside and just practiced dance.
By the afternoon, we stayed at the Library, because Ma’am Rosie asked for our helped. It is my first time to enter the library and I was so amazed by the transformation of our new Library. It is so colorful though the smell is the smell of the book and somehow paint.
DAY 7
Today, we had our school campaign at Catalunan Grande Elementary school. Ma’am Ivy accommodated us. We were grouped by pair. We were run out of flyers so I asked for Mary and Erin’s. I am so amazed by Mary’s energy my colleague,her energy radiates me,to be honest. The are of the school was very wide.
In the afternoon, we went to the Library as Ma’am Ivy told us, so we went their I helped in covering the books. Then we were taking pictures since we were done.
DAY 8
So today, we had our school campaign. Sir Riven and Sir Rodolfo accompanied us. We went to Magallanes Elementary schhol. Their school was very clean. Their are was very wide. Also, I see a lots of people.
DAY 9
Today, Ma’am Ivy didn’t give us any tasks. So, Ma’am Rosie asked the permission of Ma’am Ivy, to allow us work at the Library. Then we were at the Library and has different assignment. It was around 4:00, when we decorated the stage for the Reading of Honors to be held tomorrow. The quadrangle has a lot of students since it is dismissal time. Also, there were students running and shouting. Others were murmuring and talking.
DAY 10
Finally, it is already the end of our work immersion. For today,we continue decorated the stage for the Reading of Honors. After, we finished decorating.We go back to the guidance and for the rest of the day we already take a rest since Ma’am Ivy allowed us.
